This 2008 vintage of Prestwood Cellars continues our tradition of fantastic cabernet’s with polished tannins, subtle oak notes and a long finish. This vintage is a Bordeaux style blend consisting of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. We were please to develop this cabernet with grapes from Rutherford, Oak Knoll and Stag’s Leap districts of the Napa Valley. The 2008 Vintage aged in French oak barrels for 22 months. Blending was completed in January, 2010 where it continued to rest in French oak until its bottling in August of 2010. It’s color is a deep, dark red with purplish hues. A complex nose of candied black fruit, integrated with touches of cedar add dimension and great depth to the aromatic profile. You may taste hints of blackberry and black cherry, along with polished tannins and subtle oak notes to anchor the beautiful finish. The 2008 vintage was released in April, 2011.
